The National Liberty Museum honors the heroes who have made our country what it is today. Its exhibits explore the themes of heroism, freedom, diversity, and faith. In “Let Freedom Ring,” learn the stories of 200 American heroes of the 20th century. In the First Amendment Room, learn more about our rights of free speech, religion, press, and assembly. In “Coming to America,” learn about those who gave up everything to gain political and religious freedom. You will also learn about the Africans who were brought here against their will as slaves. In “From Conflict to Harmony,” explore the causes of violence, and learn how to create peaceful resolutions to conflicts. In “Voyage to Liberty through Faith,” learn about the Biblical tales that inspired our Founding Fathers to come to America. In “Heroes from Around the World,” learn about those who fought for liberty in other nations. See life-size dioramas of Anne Frank’s bedroom and Nelson Mandela’s jail cell. In “Exceptional People,” learn about heroes who overcame physical challenges to achieve success. In “Heroes of 9/11,” visit a 3-story memorial, filled with video footage and photographs, honoring all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Finally, see an amazing collection of glass sculptures throughout the museum which represent the fragility of liberty.

The museum is open 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for students, $1 for children ages 6-17, and free to children under 5.
