The Please Touch Museum is designed especially for children under the age of eight. It features a variety of interactive exhibits designed to educate and inspire the imagination of its young visitors. At the museum, children can slide down the rabbit hole to the world of Alice in Wonderland. They can get behind the wheel of a real SEPTA bus, or travel to Where the Wild Things Are. One of the children’s favorite exhibits is always the supermarket, where they can not only shop for goods, but run the store by checking out customers and restocking the shelves.
During the holidays, the museum also features the Enchanted Colonial Village. Originally designed by a German toy company for Lit Brothers’ Department Store, the 3/4 life-size village depicts a colonial hamlet preparing for Christmas.
The Please Touch Museum is open 9am-4:30pm. Admission is $9.95 per person.
